Your personal history is important to you, your family, and society at large. Micro history is a growingly accepted discipline and begins with a simple pedegree or genealogy. Micro history can be as equally documented as general history; parallels general history; and creates and enables our understanding of history -- especially if we have international lineages and limited language.
Why is our website different? We support the "WorldWideWent" TM (efficiently delivered text based internet transmissions) not the forced sales-demanded technology required by a growing number of websites. We see our heritage as more than "Italian", recognizing and discussing the many different peoples who flowed through the pennisula and the islands areas. And most importantly, we take a personal approach as compared to some other monopolistic megasites, many of which strongly appear to have alterior motives for your membership. We also respect your privacy, and operate with a tiered policy which you control, in sharp contrast to many other internet portals.
We encourage source documentation, best standards research practices, augmented history, theories or proposals, and provide an outlet for the best referenced independent research or news you can provide. As we expand and grow we welcome your participation, recognizing that micro history, family history, personal history, pedegrees and genealogy, are by their very nature a multi-dimentional community collaboration, and make us better international citizens as we assist each other to discover our heritage.
