Noah according to Ireland

Douglas Hyde, former President of The Republic of Ireland, Literary Scholar, and Gaelic Revivalist, provides an excellent summary, introduction, and commentary on many of the early genealogical lineages proported to include roots through Ireland, in his wonderful book: "A Literary History of Ireland".

Many other histories of early Ireland ususally include reference to the "waves of invaders" of immigrant outsiders who came to the emerald shores, and many make reference to a Noahetic connection to Ireland, often through Magog.

Hyde suggests that the trail from Noah, in regard to Ireland, came about as a documented proposal, after the introduction of Christianity to Ireland, usually associated with post Saint Patrick indoctrinated writers.

On the other hand, he counters that the island based Milesian lineage, was passed along by pre-Patrick inhabitants, from a much earlier point in Ireland history. Thus, Hyde proposes that the Noahetic connection was invented or added on to other traditional national lineages in order to show the connection to Jeudaic-Christian history. A similar question includes claims that the Gaelic predecesors traveled through Egypt and met with Aaron, brother of Moses.

Those who agree with links to Noah, we suspect, support the "add ons" though faith, or by pointing to deeper research developments confirming ancient traditions advancing into the modern age.

In either or any case, mention is made of several potential character trails to the genealogy lineage in The Torah.
