More on the Firbolg
Historian Mac Firbis 1650, summerizes the following stereotype from "an old book" of poetry:
"Everyone who is black-haired, who is a tattler, guileful, tale-telling, noisy, contemptable; every wretched, mean, stolling, unsteady, harsh, and inhospitable person; every slave, every mean theif, every churl, everyone who loves not to listen to music and entertainment, the disturbers of every council and every assembly, and the promoters of discord amoung people, these are the descendants of the Firbolgs, of the Gailiuns of Liogairne, and of the Fir Domhnanns, in Erinn. But, however, the descendnats of the Firbolgs are the most numerous of all these." Who were these (related?) people catagories? Add your opinion or research to the topic and contact us.
